Mine Safety, Health & Environment holds the statutory safety and environmental posts and runs the systems behind them.
Own environmental compliance at site: air, water and noise monitoring, consent conditions, the environmental clearance commitments and the reclamation plan we are held to.
The safety officer role carries the standing authority to stop work, and the function only works if that authority gets used on a production day. Environmental compliance covers consent conditions, monitoring and the reclamation commitments the clearance was granted on.
Day to day this role works with Reporting, Monitoring, Environmental Compliance and Reclamation.
