Location: Panchpatmali, Odisha, India
Team: Mine Operations
Job requisition: JOB-0259
Date posted: 4 Sept 2026
Mine Operations runs the working: drilling, blasting, loading, hauling and the production plan they serve.
Plan and run the daily working on the plateau: bench layout, blast design, deployment, and keeping the feed to the conveyor at the grade the refinery needs.
Several posts here are statutory under the Mines Act 1952 and the applicable regulations — Mine Manager, Overman, Mining Mate, Blaster, Winding Engine Driver — and cannot be held without the certificate of competency. That is not a preference; it is the law, and it is why the postings state it plainly rather than burying it. The monsoon decides half the year at most of our sites.
Day to day this role works with Mine Planning, Drilling & Blasting, Surpac and Grade Control.
The same for every role, at every level — a haul truck driver and a staff engineer get the same cover.
Provident fund and gratuity as standard, group life and accident cover, and pay reviewed annually against the band for your level.
Family medical insurance including parents, an annual health check, and on-site occupational health at the mine and plant sites.
A yearly learning budget you choose how to spend, certification support, and sponsorship for the statutory tickets mining roles require.
Earned leave, casual and sick leave, public holidays by state, and parental leave for both parents.
Applying takes one form. You will get a Candidate ID immediately and can follow every stage from your dashboard.
None of these are required. They are the things that would help, and a strong application is regularly missing all of them.
Shift-based, at site, with statutory inspections and reports before work begins. Safety authority is real: anyone can stop a job, and people who use that authority are backed.
Certificates are sponsored. Operator to mate to overman to manager is the ladder, and people climb it here.
Panchpatmali is the bauxite plateau above Damanjodi — the mine that feeds the refinery. Mining operations, HEMM maintenance, survey, geology and the conveyor system are based here.
Genuinely on top of a hill, reached by a ghat road that is a real factor in the working day and more so in monsoon. Most people live at Damanjodi or Semiliguda and travel up on the shift bus.
The deposit is a blanket rather than a seam, so most of the working is ripping and dozing rather than drill-and-blast. The conveyor down to the refinery is what the whole operation is timed around.
