Trade Finance & Insurance makes it possible for a seller to ship to a buyer they have never met — credit insurance, letters of credit, guarantees and the risk view behind them.
Own the credit insurance that lets a seller ship to a buyer they have never met. You will place and manage cover with underwriters, set the limits we extend against it, and be the person who says no when a counterparty does not stand up.
Cross-border trade fails on trust and on documents, in that order. The instruments here are old and unforgiving: a discrepancy on a document set can hold payment for weeks, and a credit limit set carelessly becomes a loss six months later. Multiple jurisdictions, multiple regulators, and rules that reward people who have read the actual text.
Day to day this role works with Risk Assessment, Trade Credit Insurance, Underwriting and Claims.
The same for every role, at every level — a haul truck driver and a staff engineer get the same cover.

Specialists here are genuinely scarce, and the function is being built rather than maintained.

Roles here are largely office-based because the work is — a shoot, a bank meeting, a document set that has to be signed. The local train network is what makes the city work, which is why we treat suburbs from Virar to Kalyan as part of the same labour market rather than as somewhere else.
