About this role

Trust & Safety protects the people using the platform — from fake employers, fraudulent postings, and the recruitment scams that target job seekers.

Review job postings, profiles and messages against our policies, and act on what breaches them. The work is repetitive by design and occasionally unpleasant; support and rotation are built into the role.

The scam that does the most damage is simple: somebody impersonates an employer and asks a candidate for a fee. The victims are people looking for work, which is why this function exists separately from security and why enforcement decisions get documented rather than made on instinct.

Primary responsibilities

• Review reported content and job postings against policy
• Catch the discriminatory posting, the fee-charging posting and the outright fake before a candidate acts on it
• Apply policy consistently and escalate the genuinely ambiguous case rather than guessing
• Meet quality and accuracy standards on volume
• Use the wellbeing support that comes with this role — the material is sometimes distressing and that is expected, not a weakness

Skills required

Day to day this role works with Attention to Detail, Moderation and Policy Application.

• Careful reader who applies a rule consistently on the four-hundredth item
• No prior moderation experience required — the policy is taught
• Some experience in moderation, support or a similar review role
• Consistent policy application and escalating the genuinely ambiguous case
• Attention to detail at volume
• Judgement about a discriminatory, fee-charging or fake posting
