Own grievances, investigations and disciplinary matters. The work is confidential, often unpleasant, and judged on whether both sides felt fairly heard.

We sell hiring software, so how we treat our own people is the product demonstration. That is also why compensation bands are published and why candidate experience is held to a standard we would show a customer.

Primary responsibilities

• Handle the serious employee relations cases — grievance, misconduct and performance
• Investigate properly and impartially, and write it up so the outcome is defensible
• Advise managers on the correct process and stop them taking a shortcut that becomes a claim
• Maintain the policies and keep them current with the law in each jurisdiction
• Manage the statutory bodies and the works council or union relationships where they exist

Skills required

Day to day this role works with Employee Relations, Investigation, Employment Law and Mediation.

• Six or more years in employee relations, including formal investigations
• Working knowledge of Indian employment law
• Six or more years in HR with substantial employee relations casework
• Investigating grievance and misconduct impartially and writing it up defensibly
• Advising managers on process and stopping the shortcut that becomes a claim
• Policy maintenance current with the law in each jurisdiction
• Statutory body, works council or union relationships
